Oakwood Academy is seeking a committed and

creative Maths Teacher to join our welcoming and inclusive special school

community. This is a unique opportunity to be part of a skilled and dedicated

team delivering high-quality, personalised education to pupils with a range of

SEND, including moderate learning difficulties, communication and interaction

needs, and social, emotional and mental health needs

The Role:

You will teach maths to

a number of classes of pupils with diverse SEND needs, supported by experienced

teaching assistants. These classes will predominantly be within KS4, therefore

qualification led. You will plan and deliver an engaging and accessible

curriculum that meets the individual needs of your learners, fostering independence,

communication, and social skills alongside academic progress.

applications from excellent practitioners with primary or secondary SEND

experience and strong maths knowledge. The successful candidates will:

differentiated lessons which meet individual needs

Have specific experience / interest in working

with pupils with SEND

Have the ability to foster good relationships

with other staff, pupils, parents and the wider community

Will have had experience of planning and

delivering Maths
