Sports Coach Contract: Permanent Hours: 36.25 hours, 39 weeks (term time plus one week) Working pattern : 8:40am - 4:30pm Mon - Thurs, 8:40am - 4.05pm on Friday Salary: Pathway 3, £22,865 - £24,384 per annum (FTE £27,254 - £29,064) Site: Gladstone Primary Academy Closing date: Midnight on Friday 29th May Interview date: 5th June 2026 Start date: September 2026 Please note the trust may decide to withdraw the advert before the closing date or interview suitable candidates prior to the advert closing. If so, Gladstone Primary Academy would love to hear from you! Your role: As our Sports Coach, you’ll deliver high-quality PE across Key Stage 2 and beyond, working closely with our Sports Premium Coordinator and colleagues across the Thomas Deacon Education Trust. You’ll plan, deliver, and assess engaging physical activities, from games and gymnastics to athletics and outdoor adventures, while leading after-school clubs and supporting sports days. You’ll also play a key role in raising the profile of sport across our academies. We’re looking for someone with a sports-related qualification, strong coaching experience, and the ability to inspire and motivate children. You’ll need excellent communication skills, a collaborative approach, and a genuine passion for helping every child enjoy and succeed in sport. A full driving licence is essential, as you’ll work across multiple sites. Fluency Duty: As this role involves direct interaction with the public, it is essential that the candidate meets the Fluency Duty requirements as outlined in the Immigration Act 2016. The successful candidate must demonstrate fluency in English to ensure effective communication with our staff, parents and pupils.
