This role will oversee the strategic planning, implementation and quality assurance of our reading initiatives in order to overcome barriers to education.   The successful candidate will work closely with school leaders and staff to embed high‑quality reading and disciplinary literacy approaches across the curriculum. You will plan and deliver purposeful CPD, support teachers to become confident teachers of reading and literacy and promote best practice across the school. A key element of the role includes leading Forensic Reading to ensure a consistently high‑quality oracy education, leading the form time reading programme, alongside supporting transition from KS2 to KS3 to create a smooth and successful literacy journey for all students.   This role also involves quality assuring the Whole School Reading and Literacy policy, contributing the School Improvement Plan, and providing impact reports at school and trust level.
