experience working within the Early Help & Safeguarding Arena and the

knowledge and skills needed to support the designated safeguarding lead and

2.1 Excellent Early Years

Practitioner with a thorough understanding of the Early Years Foundation

Stage (including understanding of the revised framework) and a commitment to

the highest standards of teaching and learning. - E, A,I, T

2.2 A clear understanding

of how young children learn and the ability to plan effective and

high-quality teaching and learning in the Early Years Foundation Stage - E, A,I

2.3 (a) An

understanding of the principles and practices of observations, assessment and

planning how these can be used effectively to maximize pupil progress for all

groups of children. Experience of building on children’s previous knowledge

and skill base. - E, A,I, T

2.3 (b)

Experience of working in a team to create nursery environment spaces both

outdoors and indoors that will enable children to be curious, to explore and

to deeper their understanding and learning about the world around them - E, I

have experience or a desire to support children’s learning outdoors and in a

2.4 To have experience of working with children with SEND, including

children with Autism and Communication difficulties, knowledge of
