THE ROLE As a Grade 2 Teaching Assistant (TA2) at our school in Barnsley, you will offer more than classroom support. You will make connections, develop relationships and lead our pupils on the path to a bright future. This will include working under the guidance of a teacher to support the academic and personal development of children throughout the school day. This includes: Getting the classroom ready for lessons Supporting children in class with reading, visual learning and messy play Helping those who need extra support - 1:1 and group work Completing pupils record plans Personal care THE CANDIDATE GCSE Math's and English or equivalent Experience or interest in working with children/ young people with SEN / SEND needs Ability to relate to children and younger people to build positive relationships SALARY/ HOURS Starting salary for a Grade 2 Teaching Assistant is Β£19,192 actual annual salary (FTE Β£24,796) working 33 hours per week Mon-Fri term time only + 5 inset days + amazing benefits working for our Wellspring trust This is a full time role working Mon-Fri TERM TIME only 8.50am-3.45pm (every Wednesday till 4.45pm) NEXT STEPS For more information please refer to the job description attached.
