We are looking for a teacher who: Has experience and a passion for working in KS2, particularly Year 6 and UKS2. Is passionate about providing high-quality instruction to drive pupil progress and success. Has knowledge and experience of supporting children with a range of additional needs to succeed. Will play a full part in the life of Drake Primary School’s community and support the ethos, aims and mission statement of the school and encourage others to follow this example. Will implement and deliver a broad, balanced and inclusive curriculum for pupils and support a designated curriculum area. Demonstrates a clear understanding of what constitutes high-quality teaching and learning. Shows commitment to ensuring equality of opportunity for all learners. Is reflective, open to feedback and driven to provide the best quality instruction to allow all pupils to succeed. Is a dedicated team-player, demonstrating consistent resilience and positivity. The main responsibilities are; Planning, teaching and assessment for pupils, using a range of tools. To facilitate and encourage a learning experience which provides all children with the opportunity to achieve their potential. To contribute to raising standards of attainment. To assist in the development of appropriate long-term planning, resources, schemes of work and lesson plans in line with curriculum objectives. To plan and prepare lessons, linking them to earlier learning and inspiring pupils to help deepen their knowledge and understanding. Contribute to the development, implementation and evaluation of the school’s policies, practices and procedures in such a way as to support the school’s values and vision.
