Mayflower Community Academy have an exciting opportunity for a hardworking, dedicated and creative Higher Level Teaching Assistant, to join our outstanding team. The successful HLTA will be enthusiastic, a good team player and committed to supporting the learning of pupils. The successful candidate will be working within the Support Centre to support the teaching staff and SENCO in providing an outstanding education through working with children with SEND to deliver their EHCPs and support transitions during the day. Promoting and embedding the schoolβs ethos and values in everyday activities. To work with teachers to plan, organise and support teaching and learning activities for classes. To complete specified work for a whole class, individuals and groups under the direction and supervision of a qualified teacher. The HLTA will be responsible for the management of Teaching Assistants and other classroom support staff across the centre and the development of specialist areas as directed by the Headteacher. We are looking for Higher Level Teaching Assistants who: Have experience of working within a primary school or early years setting Can build relationships with and nurture pupils to enable positive educational outcomes Experience implementing positive behaviour strategies GCSEs or equivalent in Maths and English grade C/4 or above Excellent communication skills and a flexible approach to working NVQ2/3 or equivalent or working towards the qualification is desirable Further information about the position, the trust and the benefits we offer can be found in the attached recruitment pack.
