About the Role The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality English lessons across KS3 and KS4, supporting students’ academic progress and personal development, and contributing to the wider life of the school. Key Responsibilities Include: Planning and delivering engaging English lessons that meet the needs of all learners Assessing, monitoring and reporting on student progress Using a range of teaching strategies to motivate and challenge students Creating a positive and safe learning environment with high expectations for behaviour Contributing to curriculum development within the English department Supporting students’ wellbeing and progress as a Form Tutor Contributing to the wider school community, including extra-curricular activities Working collaboratively with colleagues, parents and external agencies The Ideal Candidate Will: Hold Qualified Teacher Status and a relevant degree Be able to teach English across KS3 and GCSE Be an excellent classroom practitioner with strong subject knowledge Have high expectations of students’ achievement and behaviour Be passionate about English and inspiring young people Be committed to inclusion and supporting all students to succeed Work well as part of a team and contribute to the wider school community What We Offer: A supportive and welcoming school community Excellent CPD and career development opportunities A strong focus on staff wellbeing Opportunities to work collaboratively across the Trust Enthusiastic students who are keen to learn The opportunity to make a real difference to young people’s lives Ellesmere Park High School and Consilium Academies are committed to safeguarding
