About the role

We currently have multiple opportunities for Lunchtime Organisers to join our fantastic central team at Orchard House High School. These are permanent post working 10 hours per week,11.45am - 1:45pm during term time only. The starting salary is £6,030 and the full time equivalent is £25,185 Grade 2. Orchard House High School, a new and growing special educational needs school which opened in 2025, is seeking to appoint dedicated and caring Lunchtime Organisers to join our central team. This is a rewarding opportunity to support our pupils during lunchtime, helping to create a safe, positive and inclusive environment where students can enjoy their meals and social time. About the role As Lunchtime Organiser you will play a key role in supporting students with a range of additional needs, working closely with teaching staff and the wider school community. Key responsibilities include: Supervise students in dining areas and around the school Support healthy eating and encourage positive social interactions Assist with a range of lunchtime clubs (e.g. sports, arts, sensory activities) Attend to students’ personal needs, including feeding, hygiene and welfare Respond to minor incidents and seek first aid support where required Help ensure lunchtime is a calm, enjoyable experience for all pupils and staff To find out more about the full responsibilities of the role and/or to ensure you meet the essential criteria, please review the attached job description. About you We are looking for someone who: Enjoys working with children and young people Can build positive relationships with pupils, staff and families Is patient, flexible and a strong team player Communicates clearly and effectively Is willing to support students’ personal care needs with dignity and respect Experience of working with students with special educational needs is desirable.
