At Derby Moor Spencer Academy, we take great pride in the facilities that we offer our students. Our school was re-built in 2013 and now features a welcoming entrance plaza, state of the art technology and a diverse range of learning spaces and sports facilities. The Sixth Form leadership team are a collegiate and hardworking team of staff who care passionately about student welfare and attainment. Sixth Form academic and vocational provision has developed significantly over the past three years and we have a trend of rapidly improving outcomes. Subjects are delivered by highly skilled, dedicated and supportive practitioners who are passionate about their subject area. As a school we have a strong focus on promoting employability skills and creating life-long learners. The post holder will support the Head of Sixth Form with the operational running of the Sixth Form. This will include the recruitment, induction, retention and academic monitoring of all Sixth Form students. They will provide teaching and learning support to secure excellent standards of achievement, attendance, punctuality and standards while supporting the enrichment, personal development and wellbeing of all. They will support students in their progression to Post 18 pathways, liaising with appropriate bodies and organising events to maximise student progression from Post 16 to the next phase.
