Find out more: https://merchantsacademy.e-act.org.uk E‑ACT Merchants Academy is seeking to appoint an organised and enthusiastic Science Technician to support the delivery of high‑quality science education. The successful candidate will prepare and maintain equipment for practical science lessons, ensure laboratories are safe and well‑resourced, and provide technical support to teaching staff across the science department. You will play a key role in enabling engaging, hands‑on learning while adhering to health and safety requirements. Key responsibilities: Prepare, set up and clear away equipment and materials for practical science lessons Maintain laboratories, equipment and stock to a high standard Support teaching staff during practical activities when required Ensure health and safety procedures are followed at all times Support students’ practical learning and engagement in science Pay range: NJC 4 - 7 - £22,150.90 - £23,222.16 - FTE: £25,185.00 - £26,403.00 - £7 hours per week, 39 weeks per year Qualifications and Skills: GCSEs (or equivalent) including Science and Maths Relevant technical or laboratory experience (desirable) Good practical science and organisational skills Able to work independently and as part of a team What are we about?
