Find out more: https://merchantsacademy.e-act.org.uk E‑ACT Merchants Academy is seeking a practical, organised and enthusiastic Design Technology Technician to support the delivery of engaging DT lessons. You will prepare materials and resources, maintain workshops and equipment, and support students and staff during practical activities. You’ll play a vital role in ensuring a safe, well‑run environment that encourages creativity, problem‑solving and innovation. Key responsibilities: Prepare materials, tools and equipment for Design Technology lessons Maintain workshops, machinery and resources to a high standard Ensure health and safety procedures are followed at all times Support students and staff during practical lessons Manage stock levels, ordering and storage of materials Assist with displays, projects and enrichment activities Contribute to a safe, organised and inspiring learning environment Pay range: NJC 4 - 7 - £22,150.90 - £23,222.16 - FTE: £25,185.00 - £26,403.00 - £7 hours per week, 39 Qualifications and Skills: GCSEs (or equivalent), including English and Maths Practical experience in Design Technology or a workshop environment Good understanding of health and safety procedures Strong organisational and time‑management skills Ability to maintain tools, equipment and resources Confidence supporting students during practical activities What are we about?
