Nether Stowe School is seeking to appoint an ambitious and inspirational Second in Mathematics to support the leadership and development of a thriving Maths department. Key Responsibilities Support the strategic direction and day-to-day leadership of the Maths department Drive high standards of teaching and learning across Key Stages 3 and 4 (and Key Stage 5, if applicable) Lead on curriculum development, assessment, and intervention strategies Monitor and support student progress, ensuring all learners achieve their full potential Contribute to staff development through coaching and sharing best practice Inspire a love of mathematics across the school community What you'll need to succeed Be an outstanding classroom practitioner with a strong track record of student achievement Have the ability to motivate, challenge, and support both students and colleagues Demonstrate leadership potential and a commitment to continuous improvement Be passionate about mathematics and dedicated to raising standards Have excellent organisational and communication skills This role would suit an experienced teacher looking to develop their leadership skills or an existing middle leader seeking a new challenge.
