Before and After School Club Manager

Mere Green Primary School is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Before & After School Club Manager to lead and develop our after-school provision. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about working with children and creating a safe, engaging, and inclusive environment. As Club Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the after-school club, ensuring high standards of care, safety, and enjoyment for all children attending. You will lead a small team, plan activities, and build positive relationships with children, parents, and staff. Hours: 15 hours per week Working Pattern: Monday to Friday, 3:00pm – 6:00pm (Term Time Only) Key Responsibilities Oversee the daily operation of the after-school club Plan and deliver a range of creative, fun, and stimulating activities Ensure the safety and wellbeing of all children at all times Manage staff, including supervision and support Maintain accurate records and adhere to safeguarding procedures Communicate effectively with parents and school staff What We’re Looking For Experience working with primary-aged children Strong leadership and organisational skills A caring, energetic, and reliable approach Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection procedures Relevant childcare qualification (desirable) What We Offer A supportive and friendly school environment Opportunity to make a real difference in children’s daily experiences Term-time only working pattern, supporting work-life balance An Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) and employee benefits package Professional development and wellbeing days How to Apply If you are enthusiastic about creating a fun and safe environment for children and have the skills to lead a successful after-school club, we would love to hear from you.
