The Kingston Academy seeks a qualified and experienced Teacher of English with a strong command of their subject. ECTs are welcome to apply and will be fully supported by our expert team. Our English curriculum aims to develop our pupils into confident, creative and critical readers and writers. Through a rich, diverse and varied literature curriculum, our aim is to equip pupils with the skills required to explore how the English language may be crafted for a range of purposes. Our pupils will learn to understand and analyse how ideas are expressed in a broad offer of novels, drama, poetry and nonfiction. You can find out more about our curriculum via the English area on our website. Our successful candidate will be expected to teach across any or all of Key Stages 3 to 5. The ability to teach English Literature at A-Level standard is desirable but not essential.
