Do you want to develop your career in an outstanding school, working closely with colleagues who share that passion? We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and highly effective individual to teach and to support the promotion of their subject throughout the school. You will teach across key stages, depending on your subject specialism. As Head of Year 12 or Year 13, you will lead a team of tutors and co-ordinate and monitor the progress, development and support of a cohort of students at Key Stage 5 in line with the ethos and expectations of the school. The successful applicant will: be an excellent and ambitious classroom teacher; have a good understanding of the current educational developments, especially those relating to classroom-based practice; have the highest expectations of students; have an enthusiastic and positive approach within and beyond the classroom; have energy, stamina and a sense of humour. Ruislip High School is an outstanding, oversubscribed, 11-18, mixed comprehensive school with 1310 students on roll and we have a dedicated sixth form centre. We obtain excellent results. In the summer of 2025, 59% of students attained a grade 5 or above in English and Maths with 82% attaining at least a grade 4 in both subjects; at A Level, 53% of all grades were A* to B, with the majority of Year 13 students securing places at their first choice of destination.
