Class Teacher

This is a wonderful opportunity to join a great school, with a fantastic, supportive staff team. We currently have an opportunity for an exceptional teacher to join our team in Key Stage 2 . We have a part time position in Key Stage 2, 0.5/0.6 FTE, Wednesday - Friday. We are currently a one form entry school, but with two forms of entry in KS1 / Y3 and three forms of entry in Y4, 5, 6 . As part of the expansion of our school, the former St Albans Music School was converted into an impressive upper school building complete with a library, large PPA room, break out room, individual offices and most importantly spacious, fully equipped classrooms. The rest of the school is very well organised including a large, separate EYFS area, which has its own outdoor provision. In addition, we have expansive and attractive outdoor facilities including four playgrounds, a large school field, an outdoor theatre and an environmental area. We have specialist support with music, drama, forest schools and PE / Sports. Not only do we have a wonderful environment for learning but we also have a very experienced and supportive teaching team. CPD is very much at the heart of the school and professional development is integral to our continued school development. The contract is for a fixed-term 1 year contract, in the first instance. This may be able to change in the future depending on staffing changes.
