This is role is to support the Finance Manager, and wider finance team, in the effective day-to-day running of the school’s financial operations. The postholder will work closely with another Finance Officer and together will be responsible for maintaining the administrative and financial processes required to support the school’s financial management. Working alongside the Finance Manager, Assistant Finance Manager and our Finance & Trips Officer, the role will provide the Chief Operating Officer, Headteacher and Governors with timely financial information to enable the school to operate smoothly, efficiently, and effectively in delivering its core objectives. The successful candidate will assist in the provision of a comprehensive finance service to the school by undertaking a range of financial and administrative tasks. The person appointed will be well organised with excellent communication & ICT skills, as well as the ability to work under pressure. Previous experience of working in a finance/accounting environment would be highly advantageous. We currently use Iris (PSF) accounting software and experience of this would be desirable though not essential. We are looking for someone to work between 30-37 hours per week, term-time only plus 3 weeks, (to be worked in an agreed pattern, with 2 weeks during the summer holidays and 1 week to be agreed), (42 working weeks, 48.30 paid weeks per year).
