About the role

We are looking to recruit.... An exciting opportunity has arisen for an outstanding Teacher of Humanities (Geography or History specialisms) to join Whitcliffe Mount School. Do you have what it takes to provide outstanding teaching and learning experiences in Humanities for students of all abilities? The successful candidate should be an inspirational teacher and a strong practitioner; a committed and motivated individual who can inspire others to raise aspirations, through offering an exciting and ambitious curriculum. As a Teacher of Humanities, you will be joining a department which is extremely popular at Key Stage 3 and 4. The Humanities Faculty at Whitcliffe Mount includes 11 specialist teachers in total and, as part of wider faculty responsibilities, any candidates must be willing to teach History, Geography and RS at KS3 and KS4. At Whitcliffe Mount, we want all our students to enjoy Humanities and to become confident, independent learners. We also want our staff to feel supported and inspired to achieve their personal best. For early careers teachers, we offer support second to none, with a dedicated mentor, reduced teaching timetable and Early Careers Framework (ECT) training from the Teaching School Hub.
