Teaching Assistant

Teaching Assistant 30 hours per week, Monday to Friday 8.45am - 3.15pm (possible overtime available between 7.30am - 8.45am and 3.15pm and 6pm) Fixed term until 31st August 2027 Grade 1 SCP 3-4 EYFS/KS1 We are a small, friendly Church of England primary school with a strong sense of community and mixed-age classes. We are seeking a caring and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to work within EYFS/KS1, supporting children's learning, development and wellbeing. Working closely with the class teacher and wider staff team, the successful candidate will: Support learning for individuals and small groups across Early Years and Key Stage 1 Help create a positive, calm and stimulating classroom environment Support children's early literacy, numeracy, communication and play-based learning Provide encouragement and care to help children develop confidence and independence Support children during transitions, playtimes and daily routines Adapt support to meet the needs of children within a mixed-age setting We are looking for someone who: Enjoys working with young children and understands how they learn through play and exploration Is patient, kind and flexible Can work effectively as part of a small, close knit team Has experience working with children Is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children Please read the attached job pack for further information on the role and school.
