We are seeking an ambitious, innovative, and inspirational leader to lead our Mathematics Department and play a pivotal role in shaping the future of teaching and learning at De Aston School.
The successful candidate will:
Be a qualified teacher of Mathematics with QTS and a strong track record of success at Key Stages 3 and 4, with experience at Key Stage 5 highly desirable.
Be an outstanding classroom practitioner, with the ability to secure consistently strong outcomes for students of all abilities.
Demonstrate clear vision and strategic thinking, with the ability to translate ideas into sustained improvement and measurable impact.
Have experience of leading, motivating, and developing staff, fostering a culture of high expectations, collaboration, and reflective practice.
Show a strong commitment to evidence-informed pedagogy, curriculum development, and continuous improvement.
Be resilient, self-aware, and values-driven, with a genuine passion for improving studentsβ life chances.
Be committed to safeguarding, inclusion, and contributing positively to the wider life of the school.
This role would suit an experienced middle leader or an aspiring leader ready to take on a significant and rewarding role.
