Job Title: Careers and Pathway Leader Actual Annual Salary : £11,343 - £12,856 (Based on 14 hours per week, Term Time Only) Full Time Equivalent Salary : £35,852 - £39,679 (CLF Grade E). Based on 37 hours per week, all year round.
Contract Type : Permanent.

Do you have experience in careers guidance and a genuine drive to help students build employability skills, make informed choices, and confidently prepare for life after school? We are looking for a Careers and Pathways Leader to shape and deliver an exceptional careers programme that raises aspirations and supports every learner to achieve their goals. In this pivotal role, you will champion a careers provision that aligns with local and national priorities, inspiring students to explore a wide range of future pathways. You will play a key part in meeting the Gatsby Benchmarks, embedding employability across our curriculum and culture. This includes ensuring all students progress to suitable post‑16 or post‑18 destinations, and providing clear reporting to both the Local Authority and the Senior Leadership Team. As our Careers and Pathways Leader, you will provide high‑quality, impartial information, advice, and guidance (IAG), helping students make confident decisions about their next steps. You will also build strong partnerships with local employers to create meaningful work experience and placement opportunities that enrich and broaden our learners' experiences. Hold a Level 6 qualification in professional careers guidance or demonstrate a strong commitment to working towards achieving this qualification.
Have knowledge and experience of methods of delivering careers information, advice and guidance, ideally to young individuals. Have an excellent standard of oral and written communication skills.
Be highly organised in managing a diary and appointments, able to manage time to be both proactive and reactive.
Be comfortable delivering group talks, activities and facilitating work with groups.
Have an understanding of relevant policies/code of practice and awareness of relevant legislation. Have a commitment to keep abreast of local and national initiatives and changes to legislation.
