Salary: Thurrock Band A Point 1 - 6 (£2,771.21 - £2,966.11 actual salary per annum) 5 hours per week 12:10pm - 1:10pm, Monday - Friday 37 weeks of the year - term time only Start Date: June 2026 We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and flexible Midday Assistant to supervise on playgrounds or in the dining hall and escort pupils between the two areas. This role is essential in ensuring a safe, positive, and engaging environment for our pupils during lunchtimes The successful applicant will: Interact with the children to encourage good social skills and will lead outdoor activities to encourage participation Encourage healthy eating, preparing the tables, supervise playing with the children outside, supervising the clearing up of games and toys, administering first aid and using the school’s behaviour plan Ensure the safety and care of pupils who are injured or unwell & provide comfort if distressed Assist children with Personal Care where necessary Arthur Bugler Primary School is a vibrant and diverse school where children are enthusiastic and motivated to achieve endless possibilities.
