We now consist of seven academies: Mossbourne Community Academy (MCA) secondary and sixth form, Hackney Mossbourne Fobbing Academy (MFA) secondary and sixth form, Thurrock Mossbourne Herd Lane Academy (MHLA) primary, Thurrock Mossbourne Parkside Academy (MPA) primary, Hackney Mossbourne Port Side Academy (MPSA) secondary, Thurrock Mossbourne Riverside Academy (MRA) primary, Hackney Mossbourne Victoria Park Academy (MVPA) secondary, Hackney Job summary Teaching & Learning Responsibilities: To teach a class at any level throughout the Academy To be a committed and active member of the staff team and Academy community To share the planning within a specified year group and to prepare and evaluate activities that lead to the effective education of the pupils in your charge, through half-termly, weekly and daily plans To liaise effectively with teachers when providing cover for classes, including internal cover for course attendance and PPA release To maintain effective records of pupils & groups progress, using teacher assessment and other systems To ensure the good behaviour of all pupils in the Academy, supporting Federation procedures for the management of pupil conduct & discipline Commitment to high standards, quality & equality in education across the Academy To follow the agreed Academy procedure for the display and presentation of pupils' work, ensuring that support staff are briefed appropriately regarding the presentation of a display work To apprise parents of their children's progress, attitudes, attainment and targets through formal and informal meetings, both before, during and after the Academy Day To become a lead member of a curriculum development team as part of the planned programme of professional development meetings To promote the vision, aims and values of the Academy and to contribute to their development To play a full part in the life of the Academy including staff meetings and briefings, INSET, assemblies, liaising with key stakeholders and Academy policy making To participate fully in the Academy self-evaluation process including lesson observations and other appropriate
