We currently have an exciting opportunity for Teacher of Modern Foreign Language (French and Spanish specialism) to join our fantastic team at Chorlton High School.This is a fixed term contract for one term, Teaching terms Main-Upper payscale, to start on 1st September - 31st December 2026 We’re looking for:A qualified and experienced Teacher of Modern Foreign Languages (MFL) French and Spanish specialism, eligible to work in the UK with successful experience in the 11-16 phase. You will need the ability to teach Spanish and French at KS3, and demonstrate thorough subject knowledge and an understanding of current MFL curriculum developments. You will have the ability to deliver quality teaching that drives achievement and inspires a love of learning. You will be able to demonstrate experience of achieving positive outcomes for pupils, as well as being passionate about making a difference to the lives of young people. As a committed team player, you will have excellent organisational skills and the natural ability to motivate both pupils and peers. Main purpose of the job:The post holder's key responsibilities will be improving the standards of learning and raising levels of student achievement for all students in their care. You will be responsible for improving the standards of learning and raising levels of student achievement for all students and expected to fulfil the professional responsibilities common to all classroom teachers. Key responsibilities will include: To ensure that students experience an educational programme that is personalised to their needs, developing their skills and abilities To actively promote relevant MFL subject related activities to promote students’ enthusiasm and interest To work collaboratively within the MFL subject team to reflect the whole school vision To work to foster a positive working environment in the MFL curriculum area that supports students’ learning To play a part in the pastoral development of students particularly acting as a form tutor for a group of students To play an active part in the provision of a range of enrichment activities and extra-curricular activities across the curriculum area To find out more about the full responsibilities of the role and/or to ensure you meet the essential criteria, please review the attached job description.
