We are seeking a committed and enthusiastic individual to work under the direct instruction of teaching staff, primarily within the classroom environment. The successful candidate will provide essential support to teachers in the care, supervision, and learning of students, helping to create a positive and productive classroom environment. This role involves working both within the classroom and in other learning settings, supporting studentsβ academic, social, and emotional development while contributing to the effective organisation and management of the learning environment. Key Responsibilities Support to Students Provide pastoral care and promote the wellbeing of all students. Support students with personal needs, health matters, and basic first aid where required. Deliver structured learning support in line with teacher-led programmes. Promote high expectations and contribute to raising student achievement. Support the implementation of Education, Health & Care Plans (EHCPs), behaviour plans, and mentoring programmes. Ensure student safety through adherence to health and safety procedures. Support inclusion by encouraging interaction and participation in learning activities. Accompany students on educational visits and extracurricular activities when required. Support to Teachers Work collaboratively with teachers to deliver structured learning activities. Assist in planning, preparing, and delivering classroom activities. Support classroom management and behaviour strategies. Monitor and record student progress, providing regular feedback to teaching staff. Supervise individuals or small groups during curriculum activities under teacher guidance. Provide administrative support, including preparation of learning materials. Support the coordination of extracurricular and off-site activities. Support to Curriculum Assist in delivering literacy, numeracy, and SEND support strategies. Promote the effective use of ICT to enhance learning and student independence. Contribute to curriculum planning, development, and evaluation. Support the preparation and organisation of teaching resources. This role is Temporary until August 2027. 8:30- 3:30 with 30 min break. 32.5 hours per week.
