In this crucial role, you'll be responsible for organising and leading engaging play activities that not only keep children entertained but also support their growth and learning. From traditional games, in particular football, to imaginative role-play scenarios, you'll have the chance to unleash your creativity and make playtime an unforgettable experience for every child. But it's not just about games - you'll be a role model, a mentor, and a friend to the children. You'll foster an atmosphere of inclusivity, respect, and camaraderie, ensuring that every child feels valued and empowered to explore their interests and talents. We are looking for someone who: Puts children first- at the heart of everything you do; Takes part in the planning of and oversee a varied programme of activities. Supervises, leads and assists children in games and activities whilst encouraging good behaviour in accordance with the core values of the school. Takes responsibility, along with other staff, for the health and safety, accident prevention and smooth running of emergency procedures for both children and other members of staff. Understands and follows the school’s Child Protection policy. Assists with the setting out and clearing up of any equipment. Maintains confidentiality at all times. Takes part in staff training as offered. Carries out any reasonable requests from designated Line Manager or SLT. Works within a team with other staff. Supervises, leads and assists children in the lunch hall. We are really conscious of looking after our team members and so also offer: An Employee Assistance Programme. A Mental Health First Aider available for all staff to speak to. SLT open door policy, including out of hours, should you need it.
