St Nicholas Catholic High School is looking to appoint an enthusiastic Food Technology Technician, who will be classroom based, assisting students of all ages and abilities in food preparation, cleaning, and health and safety. Key responsibilities: To provide practical support to teachers of Food Technology, in order that the curriculum can be delivered efficiently and effectively to students. Prepare a wide range of materials and equipment for use by teachers and students in the classroom / food tech rooms. Clean and undertake basic maintenance routines on equipment used in the classrooms / food tech rooms.. Assume responsibility for the safe storage of students’ work and for stocks of materials within the Food Technology Department of the School. Undertake stocktaking, replenishment ordering and storage of materials, under the direction of teachers. Provide support to teachers and students during lessons in the use of equipment and machines.
