Our Maths Department are looking
for an enthusiastic, highly motivated and dedicated Maths Teacher with
a love of education to join the team to encourage all students to make progress
in this subject no matter their ability. There are currently nine highly committed teachers who
enjoy a range of traditional and progressive teaching approaches, both contributing
to the academic and pastoral life of the school.

The Maths Department is a
strong department which consistently achieves good outcomes. Maths is a
well-resourced area and all classrooms have large interactive screens &
iPads that can be used for teaching. The department use Mastery Maths, White
Rose Maths, Sparks and other online resources for both teaching and home
learning for students. The department runs its own in house CPD sessions to
enhance the teamβs subject knowledge and pedagogy even further. The team work in a collaborative manner and
run lots of clubs for students in order for them to make excellent progress in
Maths. We are looking to appoint a colleague who will:

Enhance the quality of teaching and learning
in the Department and wider school through sharing resources and good

participation in continuing professional studies programme
Teach a standard timetable

Make a positive contribution to the efficient
running of the Department, including, setting and marking examinations,
attending departmental meetings and undertaking administrative and other
tasks as delegated by the Curriculum Leader
Actively
safeguard and promote the welfare of children

the schoolsβ aims and objectives for teaching and learning
Adhere
to and promote all school policies and procedures
Person Specification: Good degree in a directly
related subject (desirable) Thorough knowledge of the (11-16)
subject Curriculum up to GCSE Recognised teaching
qualification, such as a PGCE, or equivalent experience Awareness of Safeguarding
requirements and good practice Good level of IT literacy Be capable of delivering
inspirational and informative lessons to the full age and ability range of
pupils at the school Be able to demonstrate a
positive and authoritative rapport with pupils Excellent and effective
classroom management skills Have excellent communication
