Executive Headteacher - Unity Education Trust Salary: Leadership scale - Group 2 - Leadership 15 - 21 £73,105 - £83,860 Annual Actual Full Time Required 1st September 2026 Interview date Monday 18th May Unity Education Trust is seeking an exceptional Executive Headteacher to provide inspirational leadership across Grove House Infant and Nursery and King’s Park Infant Schools. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced school leader who is passionate about securing outstanding outcomes for all pupils, driving high quality teaching, and shaping a positive, ambitious culture across our schools. About the Role As Executive Headteacher, you will: Provide strategic and operational leadership across both schools, ensuring the Trust’s vision and values are embedded in everyday practice. Drive high quality teaching and learning, ensuring that all pupils — including those with additional or complex needs — make strong progress. Lead, inspire and develop staff, building a culture of excellence, collaboration and continuous improvement. Ensure effective safeguarding, high expectations for behaviour, and a safe, nurturing learning environment. Oversee school performance, assessment, and improvement priorities, ensuring schools remain Ofsted ready at all times. Work closely with the Chief Executive Officer and Trust Education Directorate to deliver high quality education within the Unity Education Trust family. Work with central executive directorates to ensure that the schools budgets, resources and staffing effectively to support long term sustainability and success. About You We are looking for a leader who: Is an experienced senior leader (Headteacher / Executive Headteacher / Deputy Head with substantial experience). Has a proven track record of school improvement, raising standards and securing excellent learning outcomes. Demonstrates strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to motivate, challenge and inspire others. Has experience working with pupils with a range of needs, including SEMH and SEND. Is committed to safeguarding, inclusion, and providing high quality education for every learner. Is strategic, resilient and solutions focused, with the ability to manage change effectively. Experience of working with or growing a nursery/early years provision.
