About the role

Head of Student Services/Student Hub 37 hours per week, term time only (38 weeks), Monday to Thursday 8.00am to 4.00pm and Friday 8.00am to 3.30pm. Grade E - Step 1 £33,179 FTE, Actual Annual Salary £27,883.12. As part of our commitment to staff wellbeing RAISE Education Trust is trialling a two week half term break 19th to 30th October 2026. Following this trial, should the Trust revert back to a one-week October half term break from 2027 the contractual working weeks would increase to 39 weeks and the salary would increase accordingly. We are looking for someone who; Will be at the forefront of supporting students and families, breaking down barriers to learning, and celebrating progress. Can inspire(and lead) and coordinate a team committed to excellence in student welfare and behaviour management. Will oversee the Pastoral Interventions and coordinate on a daily basis Has a comprehensive knowledge and understanding of current and best practice for working with students with EBSA, SEMH or behavioural needs. Can build excellent working relationships with students, which allow them to communicate their challenges and overcome them. Can support the emotional needs of students in line with school policies. Can model best practice for and with students who present with complex, challenging behaviour in school. Can support staff and needs with individual students developing and demonstrating strategies for inclusion. Can work alongside DHT and AHT for Pastoral to monitor and analyse the impact of student behaviour with a view to reduce and improve attendance. Can work as part of a very well established pastoral team in improving the outcomes for students though high levels of attendance and engagement in their learning. Has experience of working with external agencies to ensure all students have full access to educational opportunities and are able to overcome barriers to learning.
