About the role

Administration Assistant - 37 hours per week, Monday to Thursday 8.00am - 4.00pm and Friday 8.00am - 3.30pm, term time only (38 weeks). Grade B - Step 1 FTE £24796, Actual Annual Salary £20,790.49 . As part of our commitment to staff wellbeing RAISE Education Trust is trialling a two week half term break 19th to 30th October 2026. Following this trial, should the Trust revert back to a one-week October half term break from 2027 the contractual working weeks would increase to 39 weeks and the salary would increase accordingly. Wildern School is looking to appoint an Administration Assistant to join our friendly, busy office team. Experience of Excel, Word and Google Mail/Documents is essential. Must be able to relate positively to students and staff and be efficient, organised and calm under pressure. Responsibilities : Perform general clerical task (filing, photocopying, scanning, data entry, data protection) Maintain and update student records and databases using the schools Management Information System (MIS) Assist with preparing letters, reports and school communications Create Newsletters, notices and school updates Support the recording and monitoring of student attendance and lateness/follow up on absences according to school procedures Support the implementation of the school’s behaviour policy, including rewards and sanctions Deal with enquiries from staff and students quickly and efficiently. Hold a First Aid certificate and support/deputise for First Aid room as necessary. Provide back-up support for Reception/staff absence. Follow safeguarding policies and procedures at all times Such other duties may be reasonably allocated or directed within the purview of the post. Skills & Qualifications Essential Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) Good organisational and time-management skills Strong communication and interpersonal abilities Desirable Previous experience in an administrative or school environment Knowledge of school management systems (eg, SIMS, Arbor) Basic understanding of safeguarding in schools Benefits of working for our trust include: Friendly and sociable colleagues RAISE a Hand day: One day per academic year — a fully paid day off to support personal events.
