We are looking for an outstanding Educational Teaching Assistant to work in our Early Years Unit (initially). The desired candidate will have experience in working with children in the foundation stage (Nursery and Reception). The working hours are 37 hours per week - 7.40am - 3.35pm Mondays to Thursdays, 7.40am - 3.30pm Fridays - Term time plus 1 week Candidates are welcomed to come and look around our school. Overall Purpose of the role Assisting the teacher in the overall delivery of the Curriculum, undertaking work/care/support programmes in order to enable access to learning for all pupils and the teacher in the management of pupils in the classroom. Delegated responsibility for one to one supervision of specific pupils who may have additional needs or SEND or has responsibility for leading and supervising enrichment activities before and after school. Supervising pupils outside of lesson time, including working as a team to provide robust before-school, lunchtime and after-school supervision. Safeguarding Requirements This post requires the post holder to work in settings with children. People who have contact with younger children (i.e. primary academy age) are also required to complete a declaration about family or other members of their household. To undertake duties in accordance with academy practices and procedures, ensuring the post holder actively upholds and promotes the philosophies of the academy 2.
