About the role

We are looking for an outstanding Educational Teaching Assistant to work in our Early Years Unit (initially). The desired candidate will have experience in working with children in the foundation stage (Nursery and Reception). The working hours are 37 hours per week - 7.40am - 3.35pm Mondays to Thursdays, 7.40am - 3.30pm Fridays - Term time plus 1 week Candidates are welcomed to come and look around our school. The ideal candidate will: Be educated to GCSE Grade C or equivalent Love encouraging, motivating and inspiring children through the support they give in order to encourage their learning. Be committed to our ethos that all pupils can achieve at our SHARE Primary Academy. Have great references demonstrating they are a suitable candidate, safe to work with children. Overall Purpose of the role Assisting the teacher in the overall delivery of the Curriculum, undertaking work/care/support programmes in order to enable access to learning for all pupils and the teacher in the management of pupils in the classroom. Delegated responsibility for one to one supervision of specific pupils who may have additional needs or SEND or has responsibility for leading and supervising enrichment activities before and after school. Supervising pupils outside of lesson time, including working as a team to provide robust before-school, lunchtime and after-school supervision. Safeguarding Requirements This post requires the post holder to work in settings with children. Any employment offer is therefore subject to the results of an Enhanced Disclosure from the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS). People who have contact with younger children (i.e. primary academy age) are also required to complete a declaration about family or other members of their household. Committed to the safeguarding and promotion of the welfare of young people and to demonstrate this commitment in every aspect of this post. Key Outputs 1. To undertake duties in accordance with academy practices and procedures, ensuring the post holder actively upholds and promotes the philosophies of the academy 2. To work in partnership with a nominated Leader within a key stage to deliver one to one intervention with targeted pupils preparing resources and feeding back to teaching personnel or; 3. To plan with support and guidance, lead and supervise quality enrichment activities before and after school that help develop and improve a child's engagement and overall attainment 4. Under the guidance of the teacher, supervise activities and assist with the general management and control of pupils in academy throughout the academy day including lunchtime. 5. To participate in and assist in supervision of educational visits, in conjunction with the teacher/line manager. 6.
