About the role

This is a very exciting time to join our Art department, which contributes to the broad curriculum within a values driven college. All students study Art at Key Stage 3, and both GCSE Art and GCSE Photography are very popular and successful option courses. If appointed, you would join a team of specialist teachers who are all passionate about the importance of Art and Photography and fully committed to ensuring students leave with the best possible outcomes whilst engaging with and enjoying their learning. The successful candidate must be able to teach Art at Key Stage 3 and at GCSE. The ability to also teach Design Technology at Key Stage 3 would be an advantage. At Horizon, an Art teacher must be someone with a fierce love for their subject, who is talented, motivated and can inspire students to achieve their full potential. As part of this dynamic and successful team, you must be driven to achieve the highest standards and possess the creativity to maximise the use of our state-of-the-art resources and facilities.
