About the role

Sacred Heart Catholic Primary are seeking to appoint an ambitious, compassionate, and highly motivated leader to join our senior leadership team as Assistant Headteacher with responsibility for Inclusion. This is a pivotal role in an inclusive, nurturing, and aspirational environment where every child is supported to thrive, regardless of need or background.

We are looking for a strong, dynamic and inspirational leader who: Have a commitment to Catholic education and would play an active role in the community of Sacred Heart Catholic Primary School. Champion a culture where every pupil, including those with SEND, disadvantaged pupils, and vulnerable groups, can achieve highly, feel safe, and experience a broad and ambitious curriculum. Lead and strategically develop inclusive practice across the school, ensuring alignment with the Ofsted framework. Ensure the curriculum is ambitious, well-sequenced, and accessible for all learners Monitor and evaluate the impact of provision on pupil outcomes, particularly for disadvantaged and vulnerable pupils. Support other leaders on behaviour, attendance, and pastoral systems to ensure a positive and inclusive school culture. Contribute to safeguarding leadership, ensuring statutory requirements are consistently met. Work collaboratively with staff, families, governors, and external agencies to secure the best outcomes for pupils. Form a strong partnership with the leadership of the school and other leaders within the Trust. The Ideal Candidate will: Be an outstanding practitioner with proven leadership experience in a primary setting. Have a strong understanding of the Ofsted Education Inspection Framework and its application in schools. Be creative, forward thinking and has proven experience in leading and managing areas of school development, particularly teaching and learning. Demonstrate a successful track record of improving outcomes for pupils, particularly those from disadvantaged and other vulnerable groups. Be highly skilled in using data and evaluation to inform strategic decisions. Show a deep commitment to equity, inclusion, and high expectations for all. Be an inspiring leader who can develop staff and build strong, effective teams.
