KS1 Teacher

Ropsley Church of England Primary School is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic teacher to join our team in Key Stage 1, teaching a mixed Year 1/2 class for three days each week (Monday to Wednesday). The successful candidate will carry out the duties of a teacher in accordance with the Teachers' Pay and Conditions Document. We are looking for someone who is passionate about early learning and understands the importance of a play-based, child-centred approach within Key Stage 1. Experience of teaching mixed-age classes is highly desirable.

To plan and deliver a broad, balanced, relevant, and differentiated curriculum in line with National Curriculum requirements and the school’s curriculum policies.

To create a stimulating, engaging, and nurturing learning environment that supports all pupils to thrive.

To value and implement high-quality play-based learning opportunities that support the development of younger learners.

To assess, monitor, and support the progress and development of all pupils.

To work effectively as part of a team, including directing and supporting Teaching Assistants.

To contribute to the wider life of the school and uphold its Christian ethos and values.

We are looking for someone who:

Has a strong understanding of teaching and learning in Key Stage 1

Values play-based and experiential learning

Ideally has experience of teaching mixed-age classes

Has high expectations for all pupils, both academically and pastorally

Is reflective, flexible, and committed to continuous professional development

Will contribute positively to our caring and inclusive school community
