We are excited to be launching a brand new resource provision for students with Communication and Interaction needs, and we are looking for a skilled and committed Intervention Lead to play a key role in its success.
This is a unique opportunity to help shape and develop a new provision from the ground up, initially supporting around 18 KS3 students, with plans to grow to full capacity, including KS4, within two years.
This role is central to the success of our provision, working with students in small intervention groups while also supporting their integration into mainstream lessons wherever possible. You will deliver structured, purposeful interventions in reading, literacy, and numeracy, helping students to build confidence, independence, and resilience in their learning.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver targeted interventions in reading, literacy, and numeracy within the Resource Provision * Provide effective 1:1 and small group support tailored to individual student needs * Use structured programmes and resources to deliver focused, intensive learning sessions, with an emphasis on comprehension, vocabulary and core skills * Monitor, track, and accurately record student progress and attainment * Contribute to and support the delivery of assessments where required * Engage fully in training and development opportunities * Work collaboratively with staff across the school and wider Trust, including liaison with partner schools where appropriate
We are looking for someone who:
* Has experience supporting students with additional needs (SEND/communication and interaction needs desirable) * Is confident delivering structured literacy and numeracy support * Has high expectations for all learners and a commitment to raising attainment * Can build strong, supportive relationships with students
