Keevil Church of England Academy is looking for a motivated and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join its vibrant team and provide support to pupils, with effect from September 2026. Working Hours: Part time (29.25 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 38 weeks per year, no Teacher Training days) We are a welcoming and caring primary school, educating children between the ages of 5 and 11 years. As a Teaching Assistant, you must be able to work across all age ranges within our school and be prepared to work flexibly to support children of all abilities, including those requiring SEN support, liaising with teachers and SENCO. The successful candidate will also be expected to support with school lunchtime provision, supervising and assisting children in the dining area and/or supervising them during inside/outside play. We are looking for someone who:
Has a passion for delivering high quality and exciting opportunities for children;
Has strong interpersonal and communication skills and is able to work with a variety of pupils, staff and parents;
Has superb attention to detail and organisational skills;
Is self-motivated dedicated and consistent;
Has the ability to deal with new challenging situations;
Is a strong team player, who can use their own initiative;
Has a positive and flexible attitude;
Has experience of supporting children’s learning;
Is First-aid trained / is willing to complete this; Enjoys working with children;
