Hours: 6.25 hours per week (Monday - Friday 12.00pm - 1.15pm) Term Time Only: 38 weeks per year. Your Role in St George's Primary School We are looking to appoint a reliable, committed member of the Midday Assistant team to provide care, guidance and support for our children during lunch time. The role involves supervising the welfare of children aged 3-11 in the dining hall, playground and classroom. The successful candidate will work collaboratively and respond sensitively and confidently to the needs of the children. The post holder must be self-motivated, flexible and a good team player, who is dedicated to ensuring that lunch time at St George's Primary School is a pleasurable and safe experience for our children
As a Midday Assistant, you will be responsible for:
Supervising and escorting children to dining and play areas Maintaining and demonstrating good standards of table manners and eating habits Helping prepare and serve refreshments, following health and safety guidelines Promoting good behaviour and handling conflicts or incidents in line with school behaviour policies Administering first aid, as appropriate Reporting & recording incidents, accidents, and any issues concerning discipline or safety on our School MIS and to the Senior Midday Supervisor, as appropriate.
Collaborating with teachers and other staff to support children's welfare and safety.
