Part of the Nebula Federation Tel: 01603 737405 Email: office@frettenham.norfolk.sch.uk Executive Headteacher: Mrs A Best-White Executive Deputy: Mrs J Porter Head of School: Mr G Longhurst Salary – Scale C, £13.26 per hour Permanent Part Time TA - 25 hours per week (M-F), Term Time plus 1 week MSA – 2.5 hours per week (M-F), Term Time only Required from September 2026 We are seeking a caring, enthusiastic and dedicated EYFS Teaching Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will support children in a nurturing, stimulating and inclusive learning environment that promotes curiosity, confidence and a love of learning. You will work closely with the class teacher of a mixed age R/1 class to support children’s learning, development and wellbeing in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Framework and KS1. Key Responsibilities Support the learning and development of children through play-based and adult-led activities Observe, record and contribute to assessments of children’s progress Provide individual and small-group support, including for children with SEND or additional needs Support the class teacher to create a safe, inclusive and stimulating learning environment Promote positive behaviour and social development Work collaboratively with staff, parents and carers Follow safeguarding policies and procedures at all times Essential Qualities and Skills A warm, patient and nurturing approach to working with young children A genuine passion for Early Years education and child development Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to build positive relationships with children, staff and parents Good understanding of the EYFS framework and child development (or willingness to learn) Ability to work effectively as part of a team A calm, flexible and positive attitude Reliability, professionalism and a strong work ethic Commitment to safeguarding and promoting children’s welfare Desirable (but not essential) Relevant qualification (e.g. Level 2 or Level 3 in Early Years or Childcare) Previous experience working in an EYFS setting Knowledge of supporting children with additional needs We Offer A friendly and supportive team environment Opportunities for professional development and training A rewarding role supporting children at a vital stage of their development How to apply To download an application form, please click on the ‘Apply for Job’ button.
