Since opening in 2023, the ESP has become a cornerstone of our school, supporting up to eight children from Early Years through to Year 2. Our provision offers a nurturing, autism-friendly environment specifically designed for pupils with EHCPs whose primary needs are in communication and interaction. As a recipient of the National Nurturing Schools Award , we pride ourselves on a relationships-based approach where every child is supported to reach their specific EHCP targets through a bespoke, exciting curriculum. Who We Are Looking For We want a practitioner who is passionate about improving outcomes and is eager to develop their expertise in a specialist classroom within a mainstream setting. Core Requirements: Expertise: Knowledge and experience in teaching children with SEND, specifically those with a diagnosis of Autism (ASD). Communication Specialist: Experience supporting communication needs through various methods—ideally including Sign-along, TEACCH, PECS, and Attention Autism . Dynamic Teaching: An "Excellent" teacher who can deliver Quality First Teaching and adapt dynamically to varying needs. Leadership: The confidence to direct Teaching Assistants and collaborate with external agencies and the wider school team.
