Key Responsibilities: Lead, develop, and implement innovative teaching practices that promote creative thinking and independent learning. Review and evaluate departmental performance, using data to set targets and drive continuous improvement. Inspire and motivate staff, fostering a collaborative environment with a shared vision for high achievement. Oversee the performance management of the Art department team, ensuring professional development and high standards in teaching. Manage the departmental budget and curriculum development, ensuring resources and teaching techniques are up to date and meet the evolving demands of examinations. Ensure high standards of behaviour, student progress, and classroom management. Contribute to the broader school community, actively engaging in school priorities and extra-curricular activities. Manage Health & Safety protocols within the department and liaise with the examinations officer for accurate student entries.
