Learning Assistant (GAT 3) The Bishop Creighton Academy, Peterborough Part of the Greenwood Academies Trust (GAT) Are you a nurturing, patient and enthusiastic Learning Assistant with experience of supporting young children in an Early Years or nursery setting? The Bishop Creighton Academy, part of the Greenwood Academies Trust, is seeking a Learning Assistant (G3) to join our supportive and inclusive team. Experience of working within an Early Years or nursery environment is essential , and experience within enhanced or alternative provision would be highly valuable. About us A welcoming, growing academy located in Peterborough Part of a successful and supportive Multi Academy Trust A research‑engaged school with a strong commitment to continuous professional development A proud Microsoft Showcase School , using technology to enhance learning and prepare pupils for the future Recently improved learning spaces, including a semi‑open plan layout, KS2 library, shared KS1 areas and a spacious PE/assembly hall About the role As a Learning Assistant, you will: Support learning across a range of classroom and structured activities Work with individuals and small groups to promote progress, independence and confidence Support pupils’ physical, emotional, social and educational development Assist with the preparation of resources and delivery of personalised learning support Build positive, consistent relationships with pupils and adults Promote a safe, inclusive and nurturing learning environment We are looking for someone who: Has essential experience working in a nursery or Early Years setting Has experience working in an enhanced or alternative provision , supporting pupils with additional needs Has a strong, sensitive and informed understanding of supporting young children who: Are autistic or have a diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC/ASD) Are neurodivergent , with a range of strengths and learning profiles Have speech, language and communication needs (SLCN) Can adapt support to meet individual needs in a calm, inclusive and respectful way Holds GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths and a Level 1 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent experience) In return, we offer: A supportive Trust with a strong track record of developing staff Access to bespoke CPD through the Greenwood Learning Alliance A commitment to fair workload and staff wellbeing A Perkbox account , including: Hundreds of 24/7 online discounts Savings on shopping, travel and holidays Wellbeing tools and support Free Employee Assistance Prog
