Role: • To promote the agreed aims and values of Crown Hills Community College. • To work as the TLR teacher of the appropriate area of Food Technology • To exercise leadership and role model good practice for students. • To exercise leadership and role model good practice for sta. • To cover for absent colleagues as required. • To carry out any other reasonable task as requested by the Principal. The job of AHOF: 1. To have responsibility for food technology curriculum and a wider curriculum area by negotiation with and support from the Head of Faculty. (annotated: Food Technology) 2. To work as a key member of the faculty management team. 3. To be involved in the performance management of some members of sta. 4. To deputise for the Second in Faculty when necessary. CURRICULUM, TEACHING AND LEARNING: • Takes responsibility for Food Technology within the Art & Design Faculty • Ensures all aspects of Food Technology are mapped and delivered • Ensures the curriculum is ambitious: providing opportunities for students to broaden their horizons • Ensures each aspect of the food technology curriculum is regularly reviewed and improved • Monitors progress at a Key Stage 3 and 4 • Ensures the continued development of Food Technology • Promotes eective responsive teaching across the department • Contributes to the evaluation of the quality of learning and teaching and quality of provision and uses this to further improve learning
