Part-Time Teacher of Science (0.6) - Full-Time Potential with Head of Year Role Salary : MPS/UPS FTE 0.6 Contract : Permanent from September 1st, 2026 Location : Alcester Grammar School, Alcester This is a part-time (FTE0.6) position with the potential to become full-time if combined with a Head of Year role. We welcome applicants with a Biology, Chemistry, or Physics specialism. AGS is a unique institution, known for its ambitious curriculum, exceptional pastoral care, and a strong community spirit. Key Responsibilities : Deliver engaging lessons across Biology, Chemistry, and Physics (with a focus on your specialism). Contribute to the school’s wider goals and vision. Help drive the success of our Science department with innovative teaching practices. Support the development of students, including those with SEND. The Department : Science is a vibrant, growing area at AGS, with 62% of GCSE Science students achieving grades 7-9, and strong A-Level results. Our state-of-the-art laboratories and experienced technicians ensure that practical work is at the heart of our teaching.
