About the role

We are looking for a committed and reflective Class Teacher to join Pakefield Primary School in Lowestoft on a maternity cover basis, working two days per week, teaching in upper KS2. Job Title: Class Teacher Location: Pakefield Primary School Contract: Maternity Cover, Part-time (Thursday and Friday) Salary: Main Pay Scale / Upper Pay Scale - £13,166 - £20,419 per annum (actual, 0.4 FTE) Summary of Key Responsibilities Plan and deliver engaging, well‑structured lessons that reflect the school’s curriculum and meet the diverse needs of all pupils. Create a positive, calm and inclusive classroom environment where children feel safe, supported and motivated to learn. Use assessment effectively to monitor progress, inform next steps and ensure pupils make strong outcomes from their individual starting points.
