B5 progression to B6 SPEECH AND LANGUAGE THERAPIST Annual Salary: £37,280 - £47,181 (Pro-Rata)  (UNBANDED MKC Grade G1-H4) Start date: September 2026 Full Time (Term-Time Only) Part time/job share applications will be considered Are you a B5 who wishes to progress to a B6 salary equivalent in the next year with clinical support and mentorship to develop your competencies? Are you passionate about making a difference to the lives of autistic children and young people as part of an integrated therapy team? The Woodlands School is a special school which is committed to the highest quality integrated education and therapy provision. Our students have a range of speech, language and communication difficulties as part of their Autism Spectrum condition with associated learning and/or behavioural difficulties. We support students from Reception to 6th form.  We are looking for an enthusiastic, innovative and creative Speech and Language Therapist who wants to develop their career, skills and knowledge in a specialist educational setting. We will consider possible job sharing for this post. Our priority is to recruit professionals with an outstanding clinical and professional skill set, exceptional interactional skills and the ability to work as part of a team to provide holistic and effective support for all our students to ensure our young people achieve, thrive and exceed their potential.  You will be working as part of an integrated therapy team, compromising of 9 professionals, including Speech and Language Therapists, Occupational Therapists and a Reiki and Movement Therapist with a strong collaborative ethos and excellent peer support. We have SLT assistant support for AAC and pride ourselves in supporting apprenticeships in both SLT and OT. Your working day will be diverse and The Woodlands provision is across 3 sites within Milton Keynes. You will be providing whole school training, in- class support as part of this universal offer and targeted and specialist support in smaller groups and with individual students. There is regular clinical supervision, caseload meetings and therapy meetings to ensure all staff are able to share their views and input into the ongoing development of a needs-led model of service delivery.
