You will work with children aged5–11, supporting learning both in the classroom and in small group orone‑to‑onesituations under the direction of teaching staff. As anapprenticeyouwill be: Learning how to provide a high standard of physical, emotional,socialand intellectual care for children placed in the Nursery Giving support to personnel within the nursery / reception Learning about all aspects of good childcare practice To learn about the differing needs of individual key children and how to provide a fun, stimulating and loving approach towards each child and their learning To learn to plan a supportive environment, both inside and outdoors, that stimulates learning opportunities for children and fosters dispositions for learning To foster children’s emotional wellbeing and support them to become confident and independent young children who care about others To learn how to encourage children’s acquisition of language and social skills through play, fostering a love of books and creating a language-rich environment Toassiststaff in caring for the personal and dietary needs of each child with sensitivity and kindness To always act as a positive role model for the children in her / his care To learn how tomaintainaccurateand up to date records for each key child through observation,assessmentand planning Training and Working Pattern Level 2 Early Years Practitioner Apprenticeship Standard 5 days per week, including 1 day at college Duration:14 months Salary Apprentice salary: £11,648 per annum What We Are Looking For Desired skills and qualities: Good IT and interpersonal skills Polite, professional manner Hard‑workingand committed to learning Friendly, Calm Good Communication skills Attention to detail Good Organisation skills Logical Excellent Team worker Shows Initiative Non judgemental Patience
