About the role

The Art & Photography department has an ambitious and skill-led curriculum designed to both support and challenge students to achieve their full potential. Artistic inquiry and live demonstrations are embedded throughout our schemes of work to ensure students develop into inquisitive and independent thinkers. We foster a collaborative culture and work to ensure consistency in high standards while allowing teachers to act as facilitators who inspire pride and academic success in every student.

We pride ourselves on our CPD support, both at school and Trust level. We also have a central Trust education team who support and deliver high quality training.

About you

You’re a dynamic, creative Art and Photography teacher who brings expertise, energy and high expectations to every lesson. You will:

Hold QTS and have experience teaching across the full age and ability range.

Bring excellent knowledge of the National Curriculum and a passion for high‑quality teaching.

Have experience in teaching art and a genuine interest in photography as a minimum.

Plan engaging, creative lessons that challenge every learner to achieve their best.

Use a range of strategies to promote deep understanding and spark curiosity.

Be agile and proactive, showing initiative in a busy school environment.

Be ICT‑proficient and confident using technology to enhance learning, including Photoshop.

Build strong, positive relationships with students and colleagues across the Trust.

Be personable, approachable and a consistent role model

Set high expectations and give clear, constructive feedback that drives progress.

Demonstrate a strong commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, in line with trust policies.
