We are seeking an experienced and passionate Science and Health and Care Teacher to join our National Online School team. The successful candidate will deliver engaging, creative, and pupil-focused lessons online aligned with the National Curriculum, GCSE and A Level specifications, and linked to each pupil's Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) and 6-week therapeutic learning Plans. The TCES National Online School provides therapeutic, virtual education for pupils with complex needs, including neurodiverse pupils and those experiencing emotionally based school avoidance (EBSA). Our teachers create inclusive, differentiated lessons tailored to each pupil’s abilities and learning plan, helping them overcome barriers and achieve their full potential. This post offers a clear professional development pathway for ambitious teachers looking to progress into a more senior role. The successful candidate will have opportunities to lead subject-specific initiatives and curriculum development projects, mentor and support new teachers within the faculty, and participate in TCES leadership training programmes, including the Excellence in Practice development pathway. Progression is supported through coaching, leadership CPD, and opportunities to demonstrate impact within the faculty. Essential requirements to be successful in the role are: Qualified Teacher (holds QTS or QTLS) Evidence of ongoing professional development in education. Experience of supporting neurodiverse children and an understanding of potential implications for communication, learning and behaviour patterns. Proven experience teaching GCSE and/or A Level Science (experience with online or hybrid teaching is an advantage). Proficient digital skills, including a good understanding of IT systems and the ability to use them effectively as a member of an online school. A track record of promoting high standards and achieving strong pupil outcomes. Excellent communication and organisational skills.
